CLINICAL CLERKSHIPS
As important components of the educational experience, family medicine OB, psychiatry and emergency medicine clerkships are available to third and fourth year medical students in varying time blocks. Under the supervision of faculty, medical students attend morning report; see outpatients in the Family Care Center and in a university health center; visit nursing homes; attend OB, STD and homeless clinics and are provided various other responsibilities based on the rotation. Clerkships are invaluable experiences, designed to expose students to a wide variety of educational experiences and provide valuable learning opportunities.
For those students participating in the clerkships, housing and meal plans are provided.
We serve as a core rotation site for Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), Drexel University College of Medicine and Penn State College of Medicine, but welcome elective rotations to students wishing to see our program.
